A huge win in the N24

And here we are - we completed N24 once again. To summarize last weekend, I'd just have to say it was pretty majestic. We broke a participation record - this time we had a total of 36 (!) drivers behind the wheel for the team. That is huge

We also broke a pattern. In recent events we've had a lot of early DNF:s. This weekend we didn't have a single one. A huge reason for this is the amount of practice everyone did. All teams ended drove through the night and did everything to deliver a good result. And one team brought it all home...

Summaries

Team Red (Adam, Ahmed, Matthijs, Naser, Obejd)
Driving in the most competitive lobby, Team Red gave it all. Unfortunately they suffered from pure technical issues, making their run for a podium impossible. Amongst all teams this was probably the team that practiced the most and it's very unfortunate that what would have been a good result got brought down by technical issues.

Team Yellow (August, Frank, Luca, Rocco)
Yellow looked like a solid bet to bring home a good result before the race. Unfortunately they started the race with some damage after getting sandwiched at the start, and they had to crawl back into the race from very far behind. Eventually, after driving very consistently and avoiding further carnage, they crawled back to P3 which is a mega result, especially considering the circumstances at the start.

Team Blue (Clent, Dennis, Melvin, Ruben, Uthman)
Well, what can we say? P1 after a very solid race across the board from the Blue team. They were fighting for the lead from a very early stage, and once they took control of the position they never let it go. It was a very impressive win and an extremely well deserved one. Our very own Clent Mago has made some comments about the race that you can check out in the image attached to this message, all in all - I can only say fucken GG to all of you!

Team Purple (Aleksi, Darren, Ivan, Manne)
As a team that barely raced with each other, we prepared quite a bit. We started the race strong, going from P14 to P4. Then, all of a sudden, a flying GT4 came across the track once I drove my first stint and that was that. We got a lot of damage. We managed to drive ourselves back to a proud P12 considering the circumstances. GJ to all of you.

Team White (Avon, Marco, Matthew, Nico)
Well, to start off, this team looked completely different a few days before the event. They suffered some drop-offs and eventually they had a team back after some amazing guys joining late to fill up the team. They had a tough race, which is not surprising considering they weren't able to practice a lot before the event. They eventually ended up in P26 and all of them definitely deserved an ice-cold beverage after the event!

Team Orange (Ben, Bram, Bryce, Nicholas)
Well, what can go wrong... Three Americans and a Dutchie sharing a GT4. Well, absolutely nothing, apparently. After a decent start, and then managing a tricky rain to perfection, they made sure everyone knew they wanted to put a hand on a trophy this weekend. It came down to the last few stints and eventually - P3 was theirs. A very strong performance from our Orange guys.

Team Green (Finn, Haris Joris, Leo)
This one almost hurts. After leading for almost the entirety of the race, a lap ahead of P2 with 5-6 hours to go, a GT3 decided to put an end on an amazing race and give the Green team 40 minutes of repair time. After that it was like the unluck just kept being poured on them, but after some issues they still managed to secure a P3. They deserved a lot more, but considering everything that went on... P3 is not bad.

Team Brown (too many drivers..)
Wow, this team was a bunch of fun! 16-man team in P4... I couldn't ask for more. Some drivers took a lot of responsibility to make sure we could bring it home, some jumped in to complete their laps. Nevertheless - we are very pleased with the outcome!
